What is Mystique?
Novato's collaboration of Mystique Dining and 9 Corners is a one-of-a kind experience unlike any other. The Conjurers Conclave within the spa combines the ultimate luxury atmosphere with upscale dining followed by a world-class magic show. Mystique Dining itself is an entertainment company with Utah and California venues known for its Grand Dining Chamber and The Prestige Parlour of Magic. Priding itself on originality and an exquisite experience of elegant dining mixed with a variety of renowned magicians as entertainment, Mystique provides a superior evening experience for its guests.

Why is it called Mystique?
Mystique’s Victorian theming and magical performance entertainment sets the stage for a formidable escape into a sophisticated past. The detailed decor steeped in the history of magic creates an ambiance that is both unusual and mystical; hence, the name Mystique.

How did Mystique come to be?
Mystique is the creative vision of Terry Commons and his years of expertise with magic, stage illusions, theatre production, and extensive experience in hospitality and food services.

How long has Mystique existed?
The concept originated in 1990 and became a reality in 1997 originating in Idaho.

Are there other theaters like Mystique?
In short, no. What sets Mystique apart is The Grand Dining Chamber, an original and unique idea. This, combined with the fine dining and world-class entertainment, is original unto itself. Mystique Dining has venues in Folsom, CA, La Jolla, CA and West Jordan, UT. The West Jordan location hosts a second venue called The Prestige Parlour of Magic and is a cabaret theatre with a platform stage and private tables. A second Prestige Magic Lounge & Showroom is in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter offering a full bar as well as a large cabaret style showroom.

What is the Conjurors Conclave in Novato?
The Conjurors Conclave is unique to the 9 Corners location. It is an intimate room where no more than 16 guests are entertained at a time. In the style of Mystique Dining venues everywhere, famous magicians from across the globe perform a 45-minute show of wonderment after a gourmet 4-course dinner is served in the dining area. Reservations are required.

Is Mystique appropriate for children?
Children love magic and are always welcomed as long as their behavior is not a distraction to other guests. Our shows are presented to an adult mentality and can occasionally be frightening, intense, or overwhelming to smaller children. Discretion is advised with children under 13, and children under 8 are strongly discouraged.

What is the seating capacity?
Novato's two dining tables each serve 8 guests, and the Conjurors Conclave for the magic show seats a maximum of 16 people.

How long is the experience?
Both the dining experience and show last approximately two and one half hours. The evening begins with wine tasting in the lounge, followed by dinne in the dining area. After dessert has been cleared for all, guests move into the Conjurors Conclave for approximately 45-minutes of the best mind-boggling magic touring the world. Different magicians rotate in weekly allowing for new experiences throughout the year.

What kind of menu is offered?
A delicious one! Novato offers a delectable and satisfying 4-course fare beginning with a personal charcuterie for each guest. After a palate cleansing sorbet, an array of soups, bisques, and stews that have been pre-selected at the time of making reservations, tops off the light and flavorful main course. The meal concludes with a mouth-watering gourmet dessert. Sodas are included. Wine and beer are an extra charge. Special dietary requests such as allergies and intolerance can be accommodated.

Who prepares the food?
The food is prepared in house daily under the direction of our executive chef.

Is alcohol available?
Yes. A modest selection of wine and beer is available for an extra fee.

What kind of events are offered?
Novato's magical dining experience is offered for both public and private performances throughout the year. Award winning magicians from around the world demonstrate their artistry after a sumptuous dinner. The show content is family friendly and appropriate for 13 years old and older. How does someone purchase tickets?
Tickets are purchased exclusively on the website Main course choices will be selected at this time, as well. Changes in meal selections may be made 24 hours before the reserved event.

Can reservations be made without buying tickets?
Unfortunately not. Mystique is theatre venue that sells tickets to its events. Seats are sold on a first come, first served basis. Although tickets are non-refundable, they are transferable to another date with at least 48 hours advanced notice.

Can you buy tickets at the door?
It never hurts to try. Sometimes all the food options won’t be available at the last minute, but Mystique will do its very best to accommodate everyone.

Is there a “dress code”?
No, but the grandeur of the décor and the formality of the evening invites a more upscale attire. It is our opinion that your experience will be elevated if it is reflected by the guests, but rest assured, no one will be turned away because of their style choices.

Is there a group rate?
Private groups, meaning a buy-out or single purchase transaction purchasing the full capacity, may request a 20% discount.

Are gift certificates available?
Yes, they are available on this website and are often sold at a discount. Please be aware that gift certificates and promo codes may not be combined or used simultaneously. Note also that some performances restrict the use of gift certificates or promo codes.

Are gratuities included?
No, they are not included. A service charge of 20% allows us to pay our staff a consistent, competitive, and equitable living wage instead of relying on gratuities. If you desire to provide a gratuity in addition to this charge, please do so at your scheduled performance.
